Akshat is the Founder and Managing Partner of Alpha Partners, a corporate and commercial law firm based in Delhi NCR. Akshat has an experience of over 15 years in the field of corporate and commercial law. He completed his law graduation from Delhi University (2005) and post graduation from University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK (2006). He is also a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (2002).
Akshat’s practice focuses on private equity, venture capital, M&A, joint ventures, exchange control advisory and investments. Akshat advises clients in sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, real estate, ecommerce (start-ups) and technology. He is also involved in advising and assisting several government departments and organisations for real estate and infrastructure projects.
Akshat is a member of the International Bar Association, Inter-Pacific Bar Association, Eurojuris, Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, South Asian Bar Association of North California and ILF-International Law Firms.
Before founding Alpha, Akshat has worked in a London city firm, Fox Mandal, Delhi and SRGR Law Offices, Delhi.
Reema heads the training and knowledge management function of the firm. With about more than 12 years of experience in legal academia, Reema has served in law colleges and professional institutes as law professor. She is LLM from UK and LLB from Delhi University.
Sumit is enrolled as a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and is heading the litigation vertical of Alpha. Sumit is an experienced commercial litigator and his practice focus is on arbitration and complex civil and criminal litigation matters. Sumit advises clients on shareholders’ disputes, court related proceedings for mergers and amalgamations, investor disputes (Litigation & ADR) and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Sumit has successfully represented clients on a wide variety of matters, including securing ex-parte injunction orders in high-stakes commercial and business disputes, intellectual property issues in large-scale business transactions, defense of white-collar criminal cases, advising on regulatory investigation and environment related litigations. Sumit has also spear-headed a number of complicated white collar crime cases, online fraud and data theft cases for fintech, IT/ITES and e-commerce companies.

Arvind is a graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and has completed his LLM from the University of East Anglia, UK. Arvind has 18 years of experience advising various clients from amongst multi-national corporations, public sector companies and institutions, manufacturing companies, and service providers on various areas including commercial litigation, labour, consumer, contracts, trademarks, etc. and representing them before various Courts, tribunals and authorities.
Employment and labour related matters have included advising an ISP regarding claims for employment made by employees of contractors, representing an MNC in a criminal complaint filed by the Karnataka Labour Department under the Factories Act, 1948, advising an MNC manufacturer on employment issues arising out of demerger of the company and preparing the necessary documentation for the same, advising a research organisation regarding intellectual property protection and preparing documentation for that purpose including non-disclosure agreements for third party developers and their employees, advising a manufacturing client in proceedings relating to closure of their factory and representing them in proceedings before officers of the Karnataka Labour Department and acting for a manufacturing company in injunction suits filed against former restraining them from violating the terms of their employment contracts.

Richa is part of the General Corporate and Transactions Team. Richa is a company secretary and a law graduate with around 9 years of overall experience in transaction advisory (including PE transactions), due diligences (including real estate due diligences), commercial contract management and compliance management. Richa has worked extensively with a number of start-ups and has advised and assisted such companies on various legal and regulatory aspects, in addition to setting up a business entity in India and raising capital from investors (both foreign and domestic). Richa has also worked closely with a number of government departments in finalisation of their bidding documents and assisted such departments in the execution of relevant agreements/ documents with the successful bidder.
Richa is part of the General Corporate and Transactions Team at Alpha Partners. Primarily a transactions lawyer, Richa has been involved in numerous complex domestic and cross border transactions and has considerable experience on advising clients on structuring, entry strategy and other aspects of corporate law.
Before joining Alpha Partners, Richa has worked with the Corporate Team of New Delhi Law Offices and aside M&A and GC, worked rigorously on Insolvency and Bankruptcy matters. At NDLO, she worked closely with Senior Partners in their consulting vertical and has a fair control over business and commercial aspects of any transaction. Before NDLO, she was with a mid-sized law firm in Mumbai and has worked on significant transactions and corporate-commercial deals.
She graduated law in B.A.LL.B. from Law College Dehradun and is also a GDPR Practitioner certified by Copenhagen Compliance-Global GRC Solutions.
Shreya is part of the firm’s General Corporate and Transactions team. Shreya has worked on various real estate and transactions. She has also been involved in compliance management, due diligence, contract drafting, opinions and negotiations.
Shreya holds a degree in BBA.LLB (Corporate Honors) from School of Law, Galgotias University. She is one of the top rank holders in her batch. Shreya was an avid mooter during law school and has published various papers. She was also a campus ambassador for LexisNexis India during law school. Shreya was awarded ‘Best Paper & Best Presentation’ award in the National Seminar on Socio Legal Dimensions of Environmental Law. She was also a member of the internship committee and placement committee during law school.
Varun is part of the dispute resolution and litigation vertical of Alpha Partners. As part of the team, he assists in matters such as civil and criminal litigation, arbitration. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, district courts, tribunals, commissions in various civil and criminal proceedings. He has wide experience in drafting suits, pleadings, bail applications, writs, appeals, applications and replies in various forums across nation.
Varun is a BA.LLB. (Business Laws Hons.) graduate from the Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi. Prior to joining Alpha, he was associated with the Chambers of Mr. Santanam Swaminadhan.
Rishabh is part of the firm’s General Corporate and Transactions team. Rishabh has been involved in structuring of cross border investments, joint ventures and other private equity transactions. He has also been involved in advisory services in relation to regulatory and other corporate laws with special focus on foreign investment policy, exchange control regulations and relevant industry policy/ regulatory framework across sectors.
Prior to joining Alpha Partners, Rishabh has worked with the Corporate Team of MP Law Offices, New Delhi and actively involved in private equity transactions, due diligence and general corporate advisory.
Rishabh has completed his B.A. LL.B. (HONS.) from National Law Institute University, Bhopal. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi.
Ayushi primarily focuses on areas of general corporate. Prior to joining Alpha Partners she worked at Ashwin Mathew Legal Advisors LLP, Mumbai on matters pertaining to corporate transactional work. She has conducted extensive due diligence from the investor’s side for the proposed transaction in a non-banking finance company (NBFC). She has also drafted and reviewed certain vendor agreements including services agreements, professional services agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDA). Her areas of interests lie in Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity.
During her internships, she has researched on matters pertaining to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016; Companies Act, 2013; Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; SEBI (Alternative Investment Funds) Regulations, 2012; assisted in drafting labour law compliance report for solar company. She has researched and opined on various corporate related matters.
Ayushi graduated from her law school with business law honours. She was a scholarship student all throughout her law school. She was also awarded first prize in the research paper writing competition. During her colleges she actively managed to conduct training sessions and created and curated placement brochure as part of the campus recruitment cell (CRC). She was editor of college corporate research law journal (CRLJ) and assisted in evaluating and editing articles to ensure accuracy of published content.
In her spare time, Ayushi enjoys reading books, listening to music and lives on the re-runs of FRIENDS TV series.He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh.
